A brief bio on the band....

In 2007 Paul and Lisa Jarvis started writing songs together as a mellow release from their hard rock bands. By the time those bands had called it quits, the duo had enough material for the first Mojave album, Stories. The Mojave sound takes Paul and Lisa's hard rock roots and winds in a quieter intensity. Lisa's clear vocals soar over delicate acoustic guitars, viola, violin, and eclectic percussion - weaving melodies, telling stories.

Mojave was voted one of Vancouver's best bands by the readers of the Georgia Straight, and named "promising newcomers" by Billboard Magazine. They recently released their second album called Crow's Funeral.

Snap Snap Snappy!

Back in June, Fiber Options Victoria attended a VBN mixer at the eco-friendly Hair Garden Salon. SNAP Magazine, a fun publication the captures community events in the city, came and snapped some pictures of the event. Featured in the photos are members of the Victoria Values Based Business Network enjoying yummy appies and enjoying free natural make up touch ups.

SNAP Victoria Covers Earth Day Event

Snap Victoria, the new definitive monthly source of the many community events, celebrations and business gatherings in Victoria, covered our Green Collective Earth Day Event. The Great Green Goodie Giveaway and $1200 Shopping Spree (as seen in the previous blog post) happenned on April 18th 2009 at our Victoria location of Fiber Options Naturals.
