This past Friday, our Victoria Store Manager, Megan Johns, attended the VBN's holiday breakfast meeting at Solstice Cafe. It was a wonderful way to start the day. Over 25 like minded business owners and individuals came together to celebrate the holidays, and collect donations for the food bank. It was a wonderful way to get to know members of the sustainable business culture in Victoria. In attendance were individuals from Green Collective businesses, fair trade organizations, and even Denise Savoie, our local MP. This past Saturday, at our ecoeverything launch party, we served free Level Ground Trading fair trade and organic coffee to our holiday shoppers. Level Ground donated the coffee to our event to enhance the experience of our customers, and for that we thank them SO much! Due to our love for Level Ground, we have launched a few of their blends in our Victoria store for the holiday season. They are a fabulous company - a true leader in the fair trade and eco-friendly world and not to mention a leader in business community involvement here in Victoria.
Click Here to see for yourself just how great they are, and why you should try brewing some of their beans!

Why the new name and look?
Since 1997, Fiber Options in Tofino BC has been offering our community with the best eco-friendly clothing and accessories that we could find. In 2000, we opened in Victoria and have carried on doing the same. Back in the late nineties when we opened, the eco-products available were mainly natural clothing and tree-free paper products. The vision however, right from the start of our first store, was to have a store that carried everything eco. With a primary focus on clothing for men and women, we wanted to be able to also offer our communities with the best in baby items, accessories, bed and bath items, home accessories, and gift ideas. Well, we are now making the transition to do just that. We have launched new product lines in the store for the Holiday 2009 season including bamboo charcoal deodorizers, and rayon from bamboo towels and bathrobes. More new items are set to arrive before Christmas, so be sure to check back in regularly!

Anti-bacterial, temperature regulating, odor resistant and warm when wet. It is the perfect 'wet coast' fabric. After all, it keeps a sheep alive all 365 days of the year through the summer, winter, rain, snow, and heat. Makes sense right?
